Andrea Riseborough directs drama

Momentum Pictures has released an official trailer for To Leslie, the upcoming drama starring Andrea Riseborough and Allison Janney. The film had its world premiere earlier this year at SXSW and is set to arrive in theaters and on VOD on October 7.

The To Leslie The trailer features Leslie of Riseborough, a single mother who, after squandering all her lottery winnings, returns home to try to rebuild her life while dealing with the consequences of her mistakes.

To Leslie is directed by Michael Morris from a screenplay written by Ryan Binaco. It stars Andrea Riseborough, Allison Janney, Marc Maron, Andre Royo, Owen Teague, Stephen Root, James Landry Hebert, Matt Lauria and Catfish Jean.

“Leslie is a single mother from West Texas who struggles to provide for her son when she wins the lottery and is blessed with a good life,” the synopsis reads. “But a few years later the money is gone and Leslie is on her own, living hard and fast at the bottom of a bottle as she flees the world of heartbreak she left behind. With her charm worn out and without nowhere to go, Leslie returns home. Unwelcome and unwanted by those she has wronged, it’s Sweeney, a lonely motel employee, who tries his luck when no one else will. With his support, Leslie finds herself facing the consequences of her actions, a lifetime of regret and a second chance to make a good life for herself and her son.

The film is produced by Claude Dal Farra, Kelsey Law, Philip Waley, Brian Keady, Eduardo Cisneros and Jason Shuman.
