Diane Keaton directs comedy film
Lionsgate has released the official trailer for Mack and Rita his upcoming comedy starring Elizabeth Lail and Diane Keaton. The video features 30-year-old writer Mack, who has an old soul. She unexpectedly transforms into the 70-year-old version of herself after doing a past life regression session in an attempt to calm her mind. The film will be available to stream on Premium Video On Demand on September 1.

Mack and Rita is directed by Katie Aselton from a screenplay written by Madeline Walter and Paul Welsh. Joining Lail and Keaton are Taylor Paige (Zola), Elizabeth Lail (You), Amy Hill (American girl), Lois Smith (Marjorie Premier), Wendie Malick (Just shoot me!), Simon Rex (horror movie movies), and Dustin Milligan (90210).
“When Mack Martin, a self-proclaimed 30-year-old homebody, reluctantly joins a bachelorette trip to Palm Springs for his best friend Carla, his 70-year-old inside is set free – literally,” reads the synopsis. “The frustrated writer and influencer magically transforms into her future self: ‘Aunt Rita.’ Freed from the restraints of other people’s expectations, Rita comes into her own, becomes an unlikely social media sensation, and sparks a shy romance with Mack’s lovable dog sitter, Jack.A bubbly comedy with a magical twist, Mack and Rita celebrates being true to yourself at any age.
