“I’m shooting a love movie”

In what turned out to be banned content, the Nollywood actor Yul Edochie subtly defended himself after being spotted inside a coffin.

The comedian hilariously noted that he was filming a “romance movie” and it’s his own way of proposing to his girlfriend.

Meanwhile, it’s still unclear if the actor is making a movie out of the coffin or if he’s just making a joke out of the coffin. the federal government’s stance on Nollywood movies with ritual scenes as subject.

Speaking in a viral video capturing the moment he lay down in the coffin, Yul Edochie clearly stated: “This one is not a ritual film oo, a love film before going to bring me back to give Lai Mohammed. I have to lie in a coffin to propose to my girlfriend.

Nevertheless, it should be noted that ritual scenes are officially banned in Nollywood films by the regime of President Muhammadu Buhari on the grounds that they are responsible for the wave of ritual killings across the country.

The country’s Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, made the announcement on February 21, 2022.
