Live action… Pac-Man? Well, I guess the Sonic the Hedgehog movies have a bit of a hit.

Why? What part of pac-man did the executives look at and say “Yeah, that would be pretty marketable/profitable if we were to make it a live production.”

Why do we keep seeing these incredibly tone-deaf projects greenlit?

I am curiously morbid to see how this turns out.

They see others succeed and think “Hey, we can do this too!”. Probably Sonic in this case.

I love Pac-Man but I’m having a hard time figuring out how to make a movie about him.

I’m just confused as to how they could make a Pac-Man movie. At least other video game movies had a plot to work on.

(Booming Movie Narrator Voice) In a world where ghosts control the fruit trade, only one (Pac) Man can save us all.

Makes me think Cartman as Awesome-O had this movie idea. And if so, Adam Sandler is playing in this film when?

Pac-Man has certainly struggled recently with Ghostly Adventurers and now this.

You know how people like to complain that Hollywood never takes risks?

Quite a range given that Sonic and Pac-Man aren’t Smash Originals.

Now, if we have at least one combination of a Kirby, Starfox, Earthbound, F-Zero, or Zelda movie, you might be onto something.

I mean, even without Sonic, let’s not pretend we didn’t release a Detective Pikachu movie a few years ago, or a Live Action Monster Hunter movie, or two new live-action Resident Evil properties.

This would have happened regardless of Sonic’s success or failure.
