Warrior Star Andrew Koji Joins Dystopian Action Movie Boy Kills World

British actor and martial artist Andrew Koji has joined the cast of the upcoming fantasy action movie, A boy kills the world. Sam Raimi and Roy Lee are producing the film, with Bill Skarsgard and Samara Weaving headlining. A boy kills the world is described as a “one-of-a-kind action spectacle set in a dystopian fever dream reality”.

According to Deadline, “Boy Kills World follows a deaf-mute boy with a wild imagination. When his family is murdered, he escapes into the jungle and is trained by a mysterious shaman to suppress his childish imagination and become an instrument of death. ” Bill Skarsgard (That, Castle Rock) will play the main role. A boy kills the world is in the early stages of production and no details regarding Andrew Koji’s character have been released yet. But judging by his martial arts training, we can expect to see Koji in another action-packed role. A boy kills the world also features Indonesian action star Yayan Ruhian (The Raid: Redemption) and Isaiah Mustafa (It Chapter Two).

German director Moritz Mohr, best known for his short film Akumi, makes his film debut with A boy kills the world. Arend Remmers and Tyler Burton Smith (Child’s play) wrote the screenplay for a story by Remmers and Mohr. The pitch for A boy kills the worldimpressed Spider Man director Sam Raimi, who is producing the film alongside Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment. “I’m thrilled to partner Roy Lee again on Moritz Mohr’s Boy Kills World. Moritz has a brilliant sense of action, humor and world-building that I can’t wait for the world to see. We are thrilled to partner with Nthibah and Hammerstone to bring Moritz’s unique film to life.” Raimi told Deadline last year.

Simon Swart, who funds A boy kills the world through its Ntibah Pictures, believes the film could launch a successful franchise. “Boy Kills World is set in a distinct dystopian world, combining real-world themes with a stylized look that’s fresh, cool and quirky, borrowing from the best of graphic novels. With a storyline that combines innovative and wild action sequences , a sense of humor and a whole lot of craziness, this film has the potential to be a worldwide hit and a potential franchise property.”

Andrew Koji had his breakthrough role in the Cinemax original warrior. Based on an original concept by Bruce Lee, warrior is a martial arts crime drama set in 1870s San Francisco that ran for two seasons on Cinemax before being shelved. However, HBO Max came to the rescue and the show was renewed for a third season. Koji has become synonymous with action movies these days, having played Storm Shadow in Paramount’s G.I. Joe to restart, Snake-eyes. He will also be part of David Leitch’s upcoming thriller, High-speed train. With an ensemble of several Hollywood personalities, including Brad Pitt, Zazie Beetz, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Sandra Bullock, Bullet Train will be released this summer, July 15, 2022.

A boy kills the worldon the other hand, is expected to begin filming in South Africa soon and will most likely be released in 2023. With a bit of luck, A boy kills the world will be as exciting and original as its story suggests.
